Red Seal Proven knowledge and experience of Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium â?? Alusteel an advantage Knowledge of grinding and polishing High attention to detail and accuracy skills Proven planning, organizing, leading and controlling skills essential Good people skills inclusive of coaching and mentoring Business English skills (written and oral) and the ability to provide feedback accurately and timeously Ability to work with and motivate a team of people and to enforce discipline and manage conflict. Ability to take clear instruction. Valid driverâ??s license Computer literacy essential Good attendance record and solid references Quality, health and safety knowledge and awareness essential Prepared to work nightshift when required DUTIES: Planning jobs using resources effectively and efficiently and in accordance with the production plan Issuing and organizing of job/production processes in accordance with production schedule Quality checks in accordance with ISO procedures and work instructions and constantly referring to the technical drawings. Signing off all paperwork for ISO requirements and liaising with Quality Manager and Production Manager Achieving standard times, set targets and delivery dates Controlling time and attendance and performance of the team and taking disciplinary action when required Programming robotic spot-welding machine Attending and actively participating in production meetings General overall running of the department by leading and then controlling all resources available (manpower, machinery, material and manufacturing/method) Daily meetings with Spot Welding and Welding employees and motivating/coaching employees The position does require flexibility/overtime hours when required and the incumbent must be prepared to work nightshift when required General housekeeping of the area as well as housekeeping of the machinery and tools Health and Safety of employees in the department Note: Training programme to integrate into department will be mandatory Applicants must be prepared to be assessed / tested as part of the recruitment process and will be chosen on skill and the above indicated criteria HOURS: Shift work, including night shifts
