Job Summary
My client in the meat industry is recruiting for an experienced and highly motivated Blockman with extensive knowledge and experience in specialized cuts and splitting up carcasses. Candidates who meet the below minimum requirements are invited to submit their application via the link provided.
Minimum
Requirements:
Proficient in Afrikaans and English Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role Must have a valid driver`s license and reliable transport Must be able to lift heavy things, like animal carcasses Skills required: Must be able to split up animal carcasses Must be literate Must be able to perform specialized cuts Must be able to perform stock takes Duties will include: Skillfully cut and portion different types of meat according to customer specifications and orders Ensure all cuts meet quality standards in terms of freshness, appearance, and weight Implement proper hygiene and sanitation practices to maintain cleanliness and safety Operate and maintain butchery equipment such as knives, saws, grinders, and slicers Assist customers in selecting meat products and provide information on cuts, preparation methods, and cooking techniques Address customer queries and concerns professionally and courteously (in person or via telephone) Monitor meat inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain stock Adapt to fluctuating demands and workload in a fast-paced environment Remuneration: Basic
Salary:
