Job Summary
POSITION: Healthcare Manager PERMANENT MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years experience in a managerial position in the healthcare industry. (Management experience within the retirement industry beneficial.) Experience in Alzheimers Dementia Knowledge and practical experience of the professional requirements and procedures required as stipulated in the Scope of Practice of the South African Nursing Council. COMPETENCIES MANAGING THE JOB: Professional approach & appearance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English & Afrikaans Excellent interpersonal relationships. Strong administrative and organizational skills. Fully computer literate. Must be able to work under pressure. Must be able to work at a fast pace when required. Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, and independently. Comfortable with all nursing procedures, including Intravenous Therapy. COMPETENCIES MANAGING OTHERS: Appreciates the importance of interpersonal relationships on all levels. Approachable and open communication. COMPETENCIES MANAGING SELF: Excellent time management skills Organised and systematic MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and coordinate all healthcare services offered in the retirement estate, including Primary Healthcare, Assisted Living, Homebased Care, and later Frail- and Memory Care units. Manage all staff working at the retirement estate. Quality assurance of healthcare services. Liaise with residents, potential residents, family members, representatives, and estate management. Monthly management reporting WORKING HOURS: Mondays to Fridays 08:00 to 17:00 or 07:00 to 16:00 (depending on operational requirements)
