Job Summary

Hire Resolve`s client is looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their construction team in Cape Town. 

• Conduct quantity surveying tasks both on-site and in-office.
• Perform take-offs, subcontractor claims, and on-site measurements accurately.
• Assist in cost estimation and budgeting for construction projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure project cost control and adherence to budget.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, including contracts, invoices, and progress reports.
• Utilize Excel and Outlook for project-related communications and data management.
• Employ WinQS software for quantity surveying tasks (experience with WinQS is a bonus).
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment on-site.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders as required.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.

• Tertiary education in quantity surveying, preferably with a diploma or degree.
• At least one year of relevant experience in quantity surveying or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Familiarity with WinQS software is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing take-offs and measurements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work on-site for approximately 80% of the time.
