Hire Resolve is currently hiring a Senior Materials Technician (Civil) for their client in Cape Town. Positions are Cape Town based specifically at the CTIA for a Taxiway upgrade project which is scheduled to commence in September 2024
Requirements:
Minimum National Diploma (ND) in Civil Engineering.
Professional Registration with ECSA is advantageous.
5-8 years of experience in managing a road construction materials laboratory.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of specifications and Bill of Quantities.
Experience with managing Quality Control and a Civil Materials Laboratory.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong client and contractor relation skills.
Relevant experience with City of Cape Town projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities
Manage and oversee a road construction materials laboratory.

Requirements
A minimum of a National Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Professional Registration with ECSA is a plus.
At least 5-8 years of experience managing a road construction materials laboratory.
Familiarity with Conditions of Contract (GCC 2015) is beneficial.
Comprehensive understanding of specifications and Bill of Quantities (COLTO/COTO, SANS 1200, and project-specific).
Experience with City of Cape Town projects is an advantage.
Skills
Management of Quality Control and a Civil Materials Laboratory (including SANS 17025) are essential skills.
