Job Description

You will be reporting to the Lead Road Engineer and your responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for the design, project management, contract administration withing the roads department.
• Performing roads and highways design from inception to final design in accordance with design standards using roadway design software (specific knowledge in geometrics design will be an added advantage).
• Providing input and technical guidance to CAD designers / draughters and lower-level engineers / technologists / technicians.
• Design software knowledge
• Excellent understanding of engineering concepts and application of knowledge,
• Good understanding of industry codes and standards,
• To perform all work in accordance with the Company`s Quality Management System (QMS), Policies and Standards.
• Checking and verifying designs done by design team members.
• Managing and directing design teams where required.
• Act as design team leader on identified project components.
• Liaising with clients where required.
• Developing an understanding of industry codes and standards and client specifications and client expectations.
• Developing an understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.

Qualifications

• BTech/BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering
• PrEng / PrTechEng

Skills

• MS Office Applications, MS Project
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil Designer, Civil 3D
• Good understanding of (GCC, FIDIC, NEC, JBCC),
• 5+ years` experience required in roads and stormwater.
• Must be familiar with road design standards and procedures
• Excellent planning, organising and analytical skills

R950 000 CTC Neg
