Job Summary

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria: Degree in Law (LLB or BCom LLB) and be an admitted attorney or advocate 5 years post admission experience Commercial law & drafting experience Experience in a professional services environment, built environment, construction- and/or engineering projects, procurement law, legislation governing organs of state and corporate governance will be advantageous Must be able to work independently, be highly organized and able to advise on complex legal issues High level of MS Office ability The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to: Drafting of documents and agreements associated with the professional services environment, built environment, construction- and/or engineering projects as well as general agreements required by the company for day-to-day business operations and corporate governance Negotiate, draft, review contracts, amendments and extensions Provide general legal advice on contract documents Advise on contractual risk management Handle contractual disputes Provide legal information and advice Formulate policies and procedures Scrutinize all legal documents Supports negotiation team
