Job Summary

Role Purpose We are seeking an O365 Engineer to join our Digital Collaboration Services team within the Digital Workplace Operations Services division. This division supports all technologies related to corporate business systems, end-user computing, email, and other key systems used by our internal employees and contractors globally. The Digital Collaboration Services team oversees O365 and Mimecast (including other email security measures), ensuring up-time, storage, and usage reports across the organization. As an engineer in this area, you will support O365, Email Security, and Mimecast Technology, leading the delivery of high-quality solutions on a tight timeline while adhering to best practices and management protocols. Requirements Matric, plus relevant IT certificate Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or a similar field is advantageous Minimum of 4 years` experience with Microsoft Exchange, Mimecast, and Microsoft Office 365 applications administration or other email security products 5 years’ experience in a similar role MS-900 Certification ITIL exposure or accreditation Duties & Responsibilities Support O365, Email Security, Mimecast, and the M365 environment, including on-premises versions of Exchange where needed Maintain the information security and governance of O365, Email Security, Mimecast, and the M365 environment Support the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Office 365 product suite Support the Office 365 suite of applications and stay abreast of product evolution Understand both the engineering and business side of Office 365 and represent the end-user’s needs Collaborate with other teams to ensure email security best practices are followed Proactively monitor and analyze email traffic for security threats Investigate and respond to email security incidents Provide a secure environment by implementing controls to manage and mitigate risks Support data and application migration from legacy systems to Microsoft cloud Work within standard ITIL service management processes of Changes, Incidents, Service Requests, and Problems, and utilize appropriate change and release procedures to ensure smooth operation of business services Provide general application support to all functional areas and business units Keep up to date with changing technologies and the benefits they may offer Promote ongoing innovation and enhance offerings Provide training as required Governance and Key Relationships Build influential relationships with various business units across the organization Experience Extensive experience in technical advisory and implementation regarding O365 and other M365 tools Extensive knowledge of Email Security and associated products (e.g., Mimecast, DMARC analyzer) PowerShell scripting to configure Azure and M365 Good knowledge of current trends and practices in digital and information technology Strong hands-on experience implementing and supporting digital workplace technologies Experience building technology roadmaps Strong understanding of digital workplace technologies (hardware, software services, and SaaS tools) Strong understanding of adjacent technologies (identity, security, endpoint management, vulnerability management, asset management, IT service management, analytics, etc.) Excellent working knowledge of IT general practices and methods with in-depth technical knowledge covering Active Directory, Desktop Engineering, Identity and Access Management, Device Management, Endpoint Security, and other related skills Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and matrixed environment Ability to meet changing deadlines and priorities on large-scale global projects Competencies Solution-oriented Cognitive and problem-resolution abilities to follow complex and unique processes and adapt to change rapidly Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving abilities within a digital environment Self-motivated, able to work independently, prioritize workload, multi-task, meet deadlines, and handle pressure Collaborative team player across geolocations Ability to build strong, skilled teams and implement agile principles Passionate about continuously learning new technologies Aligns with Group IT Operations culture, values, and vision Capable of working in a demanding environment and handling stress positively while maintaining confidentiality Communications Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders from various backgrounds and technological experience levels Change Management Ability to effectively guide and sustain people, process, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment Willingness to embrace big ideas and dive into details when necessary Digital dexterity to learn and utilize digital workplace technologies to catalyze new ways of work Ability to explain how digital workplace technology can improve employee experience and engagement Pragmatic and detail-oriented approach Ability to gain agreement and support for ideas and initiatives Business-results orientation to understand business needs and work to anticipate, identify, and meet end-user needs
