Job Summary
REQUIREMENTS: Matric plus relevant qualification in production planning and communication in a production environment. 3 years’ experience in a production planning environment. Supply chain experience. Forecasting and production planning experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: To plan and schedule incoming orders to create and release job cards into the various production queues in a sequence that ensures that the production facility maximise its resources and that the demands of sales are satisfied in that On Time In Full (OTIF) is managed to acceptable targets. Develop and implement daily and weekly production schedules and targets. Balance existing labour and machine capacity to maximize efficiency and production throughput. Examine all aspects of the scheduling process, including historical data, to improve production processes wherever possible. SKILLS: Communication and leadership skills. Excellent Microsoft Office skills. Strong organisational skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Structured and detail oriented with the ability to follow tasks through to completion. Strong leadership skills. Ability to work under pressure and make decisions. Self-starter who can work unsupervised and manage own time and activities.
