Job Summary

Collecting data about the performance of the institution.
Collecting data about the institution`s internal and external environment. Collects, develops, analyses, and communicates institutional data and other information to constituents throughout the university, to support and enhance informed decision-making, problem-solving, strategic planning, policy development, and institutional self-assessment.
Develops and implements processes for collecting, linking, and analyzing data from a variety of sources.
Analyzing and interpreting the collected data on a project, ongoing and on an ad hoc basis.
Setting up and maintaining a database to store information. (Big Data).
Data management is important because the data the researcher collects for and for the organization is a very valuable resource and must be stored effectively and efficiently.
Extract information from the database to create meaningful inferences from data.
Disseminating information to internal and external stakeholders in order to support planning set policies and make academic and management decisions.
Planning operational, budgetary, and strategic planning in which institutional research collaborates with other units at the institution or related organizations.
Formative and summative evaluation processes conducted at an institution use IR data and analysis for planning and decision making purposes.
