Job Summary
Requirements:
NDip/BTech (Civil Engineering) – ideal Minimum 8 years` experience road construction materials laboratory testing Experience on national roads projects would be an advantage Previous experience as senior materials technician or laboratory manager would be beneficial Have experience with MS Office Suite Drivers licence essential Key responsibilities: Responsible for acceptance control of construction materials used on site Supervision of the clients acceptance control road materials laboratory on site Manage materials testing workflow Ensure the site laboratory performs to agreed testing timetable Inspection and quality control of the contractors works Review test results and manage acceptance control process Arrange duplicate testing of materials Review and provide feedback on mix designs Reports directly to the Resident Engineer Assist the RE with administrative duties Prepare and submit monthly materials and laboratory reports to the RE Prepare earthworks and layerworks progress sheets Prepare and update materials testing data packs for as-built purposes in accordance with the clients requirements
