Job Summary

This role offers growth within shipping.

Duties:

Assisting with the preparation and filing of various sales reports, credit facilities, canvass planners, business calls reports, monthly sales reports, booking and lifting reports, etc for the BIZ team, management, principals, and other ESA departments. Assisting with incoming calls when the Biz team is busy/not available. Updating SQs on behalf of sales staff in their absence. Making applications to principals for freight rates in the absence of the Biz team. Providing customers with freight rate quotations. Assisting customers with queries relating to shipments and services. Participating in and taking minutes of meetings. Client liaison including accompanying BIZ team members on customer visits. Communication with principals on BIZ matters. Distribution of call planner for BIZ team appointments. Distribution of freight rate guidelines. Maintain client database.

Requirements:

6-12 months experience in a shipping environment or similar. Junior function in a shipping agent Business/sales dept. Tertiary qualification in maritime studies/import, export, and/or similar will be a great advantage. Admin-orientated with a high degree of accuracy. Strong interpersonal skills and handling difficult clients. Portray corporate image. Must be a team player. Computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and E-mail. Ability to work under pressure under minimum supervision. Drivers license. Strong Excel (Microsoft) skills. ZR_1743_JOB Benefits: Medical Aid
