Responsibilities:
Assisting the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and culinary operations management. Supervising kitchen staff and ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards. Training and mentoring junior chefs and kitchen personnel. Monitoring food costs, inventory levels, and wastage to maximize profitability. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Collaborating with the Executive Chef to create innovative dishes and menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-end hotel or fine dining establishment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and sanitation standards. Creative flair and passion for creating exceptional culinary experiences. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Culinary degree or equivalent qualification preferred. Experience in game lodge or remote location hospitality is advantageous.
