Job Summary
Our client is looking to hire a Mechanic Assistant. Requirements as follows:
- Matric
- At least one year`s relevant experience
- Code 08 drivers licence
- Must be willing to work shifts and overtime as needed
- Mechanical knowledge
- OEM training – Hitachi, CAT, Volvo Komatsu would be advantageous
Duties and responsibilities:
- Assist with all repairs on vehicles and TMM`s
- Assist with painting and panel beating
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines and other parts of vehicles
- Routine maintenance
- Adjust and align wheels
- Assist with breakdowns
- Must have knowledge of technical aspects of heavy vehicles
