Job & Company Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled Chief Design Engineer to join our client`s dynamic team based in Germiston, Gauteng. As a key member of the engineering department, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of armored vehicles, contributing to the enhancement of cutting-edge technology and ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance. Education: Bachelor`s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng) or equivalent. Proven experience in the design of armored vehicles, with a deep understanding of relevant engineering principles and methodologies. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other design tools. Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Prior experience in project management is a plus. Job Experience & Skills Required: Lead and manage the design team in the development of armored vehicle prototypes and production models. Oversee the entire design process, from conceptualization to final product, ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and research and development, to ensure seamless integration of design elements. Conduct thorough analysis and testing of designs to identify potential areas for improvement and optimization. Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in armored vehicle design, incorporating innovative solutions into our products.
