Job Summary

Position: FMT Pharmacist Assistant Interventionist

Position Purpose:
Reporting to the Formulary Management Team (FMT) Supervisor, the role
incorporates the evaluation of chronic medicine applications in line with
reimbursement guidelines, communication with healthcare professionals and
participation in the exceed the customer expectations principles of the organisation.

Experience: 2 – 3 years experience as a pharmacist assistant. Excellent drug knowledge
Knowledge of managed care /retail pharmacy is an advantage

Qualifications: BPharm degree or qualified Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant. Registration with the
relevant statutory bodies.

-Accurately assess medicine benefit forms and process according to clinical guidelines
-Assess pharmaceutical updates according to procedure and intervene where applicable
-Correctly maintain and update patient profiles
-Ensure treatment plans are technically accurate and communicated with patients and doctors
