Job Summary
Key Performance Areas: 1. Strategic Leadership Provide strategic direction and vision for the plant. Design and implement strategies to maximize shareholder value. Lead daily operations successfully. Collaborate with executives on organizational strategic planning. 2. Financial Performance Custodianship Meet production performance indicators, including cost per kg and inventory value. Make investment decisions in equipment and infrastructure to increase profits. Review financial and non-financial reports for improvements. 3. Lean Production Management Oversee production of PCR and TBR Tyres. Implement best-practice manufacturing and planning systems. 4. Operational Standard Setting Develop and align business execution plans with objectives. Optimize Quality Management System (QMS) and quality KPAs. Ensure adherence to legal guidelines and company policies. Upgrade and implement SHE tools and systems. 5. General Management Lead operations for all plants, including Mixing & Components, PCR, and TBR. Develop performance goals for functions and direct reports. Manage key functional managers. Ensure quality delivery to customers. Manage operational risk and ensure compliance. Communicate strategy and results to employees. Report key results to corporate officers. 6. HR Leadership Manage company staff and foster a motivated corporate culture. Lead and develop a high-performing managerial team. Oversee hiring and talent development. Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures. 7. Relationship Management Develop collaborative relationships to optimize production. Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. Foster a participative and development-oriented work environment. Key Performance Indicators: Meet annual operational and financial objectives. Ensure service request completion and response times. Minimize waste and customer complaints. Achieve plan attainment. Maintain low absenteeism and high employee performance. Meet zero harm KPIs and plant compliance. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum: Mechanical/Chemical/Industrial Engineering degree. Preferred: Postgraduate degree in Engineering or MBA. 15 years in high-volume manufacturing; automotive industry experience is advantageous. 5 years at General Manager level. Minimum ECSA registration; English proficiency required.
