Hire Resolve`s client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Junior Buyer in the Food Industry. The Junior Buyer will be responsible for assisting with the procurement and purchasing of food products for their company. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a passion for the food industry.
Responsibilities:
Assist with sourcing and evaluating potential suppliers for food products.
Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.
Create and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
Review inventory levels and forecast demand to optimize purchasing decisions.
Monitor market trends and industry developments to stay informed on pricing and availability of products.
Assist with the development and implementation of purchasing strategies to improve cost efficiency.
Work closely with the logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth delivery and storage of products.
Assist with inventory management and reordering of products as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor`s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2 + years of experience in purchasing or procurement with international buying exposure.
Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Advanced Excel.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards is a plus.
