Job Summary
Minimum requirements for the role: A degree or a diploma in food science or food technology or related is essential for this role. Graduate or 1 year experience working within the flavour and or related food manufacturing industry. The successful cand must be creative and innovative and be highly organised and be able to work under pressure. Must have good computer and Microsoft Office skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Assisting the R&D / Project Manager with new product development for food manufacturing companies` requirements. Testing raw materials in application for cost reduction or replacement backups/ alternatives. Performing shelf life and product testing of raw and final products. Controlling inventory of laboratory raw materials. Assisting with recipe development and tasting/ sensory evaluation. Making up of samples and coordinating with customers. Preparing and dispatching samples to local and international customers. Coordinating projects between the NPD Team and the other departments. Assisting with the NPD process from concept to launch with new NPD briefs, spec sheets etc. Assisting with internal factory trials when required to do so. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
