If you like the idea of challenging and stimulating work in a diverse team, we`d like to hear from you.Job Description:Your responsibilities will include:Contributing to a culture of zero harm by adhering to all requirements as laid down by legislation and health, safety, environmental and security policies and procedures, and by the application of specific instructions to own work area and task completion.Complete pre-start and daily maintenance checks on crane, hoisting equipment and safety devices before commencing work.Reporting of all areas of non-compliance and unexpected problems to Senior Site ManagerDrives, hoists and lowers materials and equipment using lifting machinery (Mobile Crane, Mobile Crane Truck, Telehandlers, Cherry Picket and Forklifts) according to laid down operating instructions, safety regulations, procedures and manuals with due regard to hoisting capacities of lifting machinery Conduct regular housekeeping and safety inspections of lifting machinery and work area in accordance with procedures and complete relevant reports.Heavy duty truck driving when crane not operated.Reporting of daily progress and associated activities in accordance with departmental requirements.Participate in cost saving initiatives and adhere to financial procedures.Qualifications:Formal Qualifications:Grade 12 / N3 / Equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification Certificate of Competency for Cranes C35 (Above 50 000 kg)Basic Rigging CertificateAdditional

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years mobile crane operating experience is essentialCode EC (14) Drivers LicenseRequired classification as per VTS testing for specific role (Orange+)Be prepared to work standby duties, call-outs, and work overtime as will be informed by the role requirements Successfully obtain a Medical Certificate of Fitness to work undergroundThe post is dependent on the successful completion of the Companys pre-employment protocol such as qualifications verification, relevant psychometric assessments, and a clear security clearanceRole -Specific Knowledge: You will be required to operate lifting machinery (e.g., Mobile Crane Truck, Telehandlers, Forklifts, Cherry Picker and other related machinery)Knowledge and understanding of basic rigging, hoisting and lowering practicesAbility to communicate information relevant to the lifting activities and operation of a crane with relevant stakeholdersBe prepared to work shifts, do standby duties, call-outs, and work overtime as per the role requirementBe prepared to work in other provinces outside of Gauteng
