Job Summary
Minimum requirements for the role: Must have minimum a BCom degree in Accounting Completed Articles will be a distinct advantage MUST have minimum 5 years` FMCG manufacturing experience (non-negotiable) Must possess practical understanding of cost accounting and inventory control in a manufacturing setting Experience in handling retailers concerning their rebates and claims is essential Must have advanced computer literacy (MS Office & SAP) and working knowledge of IFRS Previous exposure to all financial management techniques and principles will be required Must have good communication and reporting skills The successful candidate will be responsible for: Managing margins, distribution costs, and all operational expenses by comparing them against the budget and taking corrective actions for any deviations. Coordinating inventory management with various stakeholders. Ensuring precise and timely reporting of financial results to management and shareholders on a weekly and monthly basis. Maintaining and updating the assets register, optimizing and safeguarding the utilization of company assets and their allocation. Reviewing Capex applications and supporting administration for timely project completion. Analyzing production and yield (including price, volume, mix) and conducting production and product cost analyses. Obtaining and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, promptly clearing all reconciling items. Managing employee key performance areas, identifying training needs, and ensuring fair disciplinary action for deviations. Implementing and upholding the companys financial risk policies and reporting on related issues. Assisting with miscellaneous tasks such as benchmarking, adopting best practices, and providing recommendations as requested by the General Manager or Board of Directors. Overseeing all external and internal audits and reviewing and commenting on audit reports. Driving initiatives to enhance the current B-BBEE scorecard.
