Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Using proper laboratory techniques carries out a variety of assignments (e.g. sample preparations, colour matching, processes scale up, quality assurance) Interprets data or results and measure parameters as required to minimize quality deviations. Processes all documentation related to the QC duties. Facilitate interdepartmental activities, which support QC operations. Reviewing test results and work instructions to ensure that testing is done without error Perform routine/non-routine housekeeping tasks in the work area for cleanliness and safety. To ensure all housekeeping of laboratory, equipment and surrounding areas is carried out to appropriate standards. Adheres to all requirements regarding Health, Safety and Environment matters and comply with both Corporate and Legislative policies and Acts. Experience and Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent education and/or experience. Bachelors Degree (desirable). Experience with scientific writing, such as standard operating procedures (SOPs) Quality control experiences in coatings industry, colorants most preferred Ability to do eye color matching. Must have good vison. Experience with quality control tools such as grind gauge, pycnometers, quality control and spectrophotometers and quality software tools like SAP most preferred.
