Job Title: Quality Surveyor (Shopfitting)

The Quality Surveyor in Shopfitting is responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in the design, construction, and installation of shop fittings. This role involves conducting thorough inspections, evaluating materials and workmanship, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and client specifications. The Quality Surveyor will work closely with project teams, contractors, and clients to identify and resolve quality issues and to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key

Responsibilities:

1. Inspection and Assessment:

   • Conduct detailed inspections of shopfitting projects to assess the quality of design, materials, and workmanship.
   • Utilize checklists and industry standards to evaluate various aspects of shop fittings, including structural integrity, aesthetics, and functionality.
   • Identify and document any defects, deficiencies, or deviations from specifications.

2. Compliance and Standards:

   • Ensure all shopfitting works comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
   • Verify that materials and installations meet sustainability and environmental guidelines.

3. Reporting and Documentation:

   • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing inspection findings, including photographic evidence and recommendations for corrective actions.
   • Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and audits.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

   • Work closely with project managers, designers, contractors, and clients to communicate quality standards and inspection results.
   • Provide guidance and support to project teams to resolve quality issues and implement improvements.

5. Customer Satisfaction:

   • Gather and analyze customer feedback regarding the quality and functionality of shop fittings.
   • Conduct post-installation surveys to ensure client satisfaction and address any concerns.

6. Continuous Improvement:

   • Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures to enhance the quality of shopfitting projects.
   • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in materials and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality surveying, construction, or shopfitting.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in quality management, building inspection, or related areas are preferred.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and software.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.

Physical

Requirements:

• Ability to conduct physical inspections, which may include climbing ladders, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.

Work Environment:

• Primarily based on construction sites, with some time spent in the office for reporting and meetings.
• May require working in various weather conditions and adhering to safety protocols.
