Job Summary
What Youll Do: Transform Sites: Conduct detailed site visits and assessments, focusing on mechanical systems, to identify improvement opportunities and optimise facilities. Innovate Energy Solutions: Develop master plans for electro-mechanical management, optimising energy use and incorporating renewable energy sources. Lead the Charge: Deliver comprehensive facility and utility assessments, ensuring high standards and compliance with relevant regulations. Optimise Systems: Inspect HVAC, plumbing, and machinery systems, identify maintenance needs, and assess energy efficiency. Drive Efficiency: Provide actionable recommendations to enhance mechanical systems performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Keep Ahead: Keep up with industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Key
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections and performance evaluations of mechanical systems. Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and regulations. Identify and document maintenance needs and optimisation opportunities. Develop and present detailed reports on technical, financial, and legal aspects of energy usage. Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the engineering team. What Were Looking For: Educational Background: BSc/BEng in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering; advanced Degrees preferred. Professional Expertise: Active registration with a certified engineering body (ECSA). Experience: 12 years in mechanical systems engineering, especially within the built environment, with a focus on renewable energy and solar PV systems. Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software and strong knowledge of mechanical systems engineering principles. Leadership: Proven track record in managing teams and leading projects from concept to completion. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Commitment: Dedication to quality, safety, and continuous improvement in engineering practices. About the Position: Contract Duration: 24 months Travel: 50% – 70% travel required nationwide Location: Based in Rivonia, Johannesburg
