Employer Description Our client is involved in renewable energy projects. Job Description You will be responsible for the following: Perform overall planning and monitoring of the implementation plan for electrical scope. Perform an overall risk assessment of the project. Manage the tender of suppliers and subcontractors. Manage the electrical budget. Do site visits on a regular basis. Prepare the clients reports. Interface with the client, do contractual letters. Manage the Grid Code/ RETEC (Renewable Energy Technical Evaluation) processes. Perform overall planning of the projects electrical design activities with support from applicable stakeholders. Prepare project status reports. Qualifications Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering/Renewable Engineering or equivalent Skills 3 to 5 years demonstrated experience in renewable industry, preferably in wind sector. Knowledge of wind farm construction (turbine technology, wind farm design, planning permit, etc.). Basic knowledge of renewable market operation and common applications of utility scale renewable projects in the South Africa. Project Management Experience. Basic knowledge of the South African grid connection process including its major requirements. Basic knowledge of the Development Approval process. Basic knowledge of the turbine technology and energy management control systems. Basic knowledge of Wind and Solar technology and substations design. Previous experience in wind turbine OEM or wind farm development. Previous experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems development. Previous experience in grid connection management dealing with RETEC, Eskom and OEM`s. Previous experience in the legal frame work of renewable energy projects. Knowledge of relevant technology standards SANS, IEC, etc. Knowledge of CAD software.
