Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Workshop Coordinator who will be responsible for coordinating the work plan and flow of technicians to ensure that client requests are scheduled efficiently, thereby guaranteeing the highest level of client satisfaction. This role involves taking ownership of daily tasks within the workshop/service department, distributing tasks among technicians, and ensuring timely repairs, installations, and commissioning to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the daily tasks in the workshop/service department. Distribute tasks among workshop technicians to ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs, installations, and commissioning. Routinely assess the workload and prioritize tasks based on urgency and technician capability. Monitor the services being provided and stay updated on any changes introduced or discontinued by suppliers. Evaluate service quality and identify areas for improvement. Resolve issues related to the delivery of services. Answer phone calls and emails promptly. Maintain and track client service records. Build and manage client relations to ensure trust and satisfaction. Provide quotations to customers by identifying components for repair, service, and parts inquiries. Handle breakdown notifications and ensure timely and effective communication with clients and representatives. Work closely with spare parts, proposal, logistics, sales, and other departments to ensure coordinated activities and timely, accurate responses. Coordinate after-hour calls and schedules with technicians. Communicate technician job-related issues with relevant stakeholders. Control the technician job card process, from creation to closure. Ensure technicians remain productive and that their hours are traceable. Manage stock movements of parts on Unity and issue parts on the Portal (integrate). Generate timely reports on technician productivity. Skills: High level of emotional intelligence. Strong communication skills. Ability to manage client expectations effectively. Capability to prioritize and balance scheduled jobs with breakdowns. Qualifications: Matric with Mathematics. Relevant technical qualification in the service industry is advantageous. Strong mechanical background. Strong customer service orientation. High level of computer literacy. Technical aptitude and/or equivalent qualifications in the technical field. Sales ability.
