Job Summary

We are seeking a capable Quality Tester , Reporting to the Production Team Leader.

Quality Tester is responsible for examining manufactured goods and raw materials for physical analysis, visual inspection, and possible defects, report any deviation to assure the final product complies with the quality standards.

PURPOSE:

Examining manufactured goods and raw materials for physical analysis, visual inspection, and possible defects, report any deviation to assure the final product complies with the quality standards.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Ensure quality testing of manufactured goods.
Inspect goods as they are finished.
Examine materials from suppliers before sending them to the production line.
Inspect components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
Perform visual inspections.
Perform complex tests using instruments and equipment.
Test, measure, and analyze products.
Take samples for testing.
Perform inspections.
Ensure company is meeting the standard codes in the manufacturing process.
Record pass/fail grade of products.
Produce detailed reports.
Ensure the good functionality and care of dry lab equipment.
In conjunction with CI Engineer and SHEQ Officer, keep equipment calibration updated.
Participate in daily meetings, RCAs and other problem-solving discussions.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Grade 12 with maths and science,
Engineering, Production National Diploma or Equivalent preferable Chemical Engineering or Pulp and Paper Technology,
Quality Assurance tertiary studies would be an added advantage.
