Job Summary
Hire Resolve`s client is currently seeking a Junior Rock Engineer to join their operations in Kuruman, Nothern Cape. As a Junior Rock Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and support to ensure safe and efficient mining operations. You will work closely with senior rock engineers to design and implement rock support systems, conduct geotechnical assessments, and provide recommendations for optimizing mining processes.

Responsibilities:
- Strata control inspections
- Incident investigation
- Rock engineering input
- Geotechnical data
- Slope stability analysis
- Monitoring
- Limit blast quality assurance/ quality control
- Mining control of special areas
- Compile, implement and review risk assessments and procedures
- Continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Degree in in Rock Engineering / Geology / Mining
- Strata Control Certificate
- At least 2 modules of the Rock Mechanics Certificate Completed
- 6 – 8 years experience in an opencast mining environment
