Job Summary

Minimum Requirements Appropriate Bachelor`s degree or similar tertiary qualification or experience in IT software development. Appropriate qualification or experience in financial accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar project management tools. Minimum 10 years of experience in software development. Minimum 5 years management experience regarding IT software development projects. Skills Excellent communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English. Excellent organisational and project management skills. Experience regarding software development in COBOL and the IBM-i operating system. Previous experience in an agri-business environment would be beneficial. Excellent people skills and the ability to lead and manage a team and work together in a team. Strong analytical skills and the ability to function independently. Responsibilities Instigation and management of IT software development projects through the evaluation and monitoring of Business priorities, the determination of IT priorities and allocation thereof to IT programmers, as well as the productive and effective utilisation of IT resources. Coordination and planning of IT software development projects, including the approval and finalisation of technical specifications. Coordination and monitoring of testing regarding the implementation of IT software development projects. Liaising with Business regarding IT software development projects.
