Job Description
He could be qualified as a Nature Guide and have Qualifications NQF 2 or lead guide, which is the ideal qualification. Experience in maintenance and construction, building and project management will be advantageous.
She could also be a Nature Guide but must have experience in general lodge administration, Food, Beverage, Hosting, and Housekeeping. Qualifications as a chef will be an ideal extra advantage.
The primary / main duties and responsibilities of the position will include:
- Transfers of guests between OR Tambo/Pretoria/Johannesburg and Welgevonden Game Reserve (currently 5-7 trip per month – 600km round trip).
- Maintenance and general game management of 250 Ha Game Farm.
- Managing & running the day-to-day duties and responsibilities of the lodge (The successful candidate would need to manage 4 staff members (2 ladies for the lodge and 2 males for the farm duties), check on the guests to make sure they are happy, and interact with them etc.)
- Doing basic game drives and nature walks with kids and families at the Game Farm and the neighbouring Lodge (when needed) within the Welgevonden Game Reserve with the Big 5
- The Game Farm is self-catering so the candidate will not need to host Guests unless invited by the Guests.
- Although based at the Game Farm Lodge, the most appropriately qualified successful candidate will be needed for two week assignments to assist at the sister property in Welgevonden Game Reserve.

Salary / Package
R10000-R15000 each depending on qualifications and experience
Benefits
Accommodation: Provided in managers house at the Game Farm. Managers house that is semi-furnished with basic crockery if needed.
Meals: A food allowance of up to R1500 per person per month while on duty
Laundry and house cleaning will be done by staff.
