Job Summary
Description:
Hire Resolve`s client is currently looking for a Section Manager to join their mining team based in Limpopo. The Section Manager will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the mine, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the section, including production, safety, and maintenance
- Develop and implement strategies and plans to optimize production and minimize costs
- Ensure effective utilization of resources, including equipment, labor, and materials
- Monitor and evaluate performance and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Lead and develop a team of supervisors and operators
- Implement and maintain safety programs and initiatives
- Coordinate with other sections and departments to ensure seamless operations
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Bachelor`s degree in Mining Engineering or a related field
- Mine Manager`s Certificate of Competency
- 10 years experience in underground mining
- 5 years` experience in a managerial role in the mining industry
- Experience in Project Management
