Job Summary
Description:
Hire Resolve`s client is currently looking for a Senior Surveyor to join their mining team based in the Western Cape. As a Senior Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting surveys to provide accurate measurements and data for the mine.
Responsibilities:
- Operate survey equipment for accurate measurements
- Map work area within mining parameters and plan according to mining plan
- Conduct surveys as planned, report results promptly, and recommend corrective actions
- Communicate with client representatives to establish professional relationships
- Ensure survey activities comply with Safety and Quality standards
- Implement quality control systems for layout delivery
- Schedule resources for survey work output plans
- Review mine surveying practices and mining operations continuously
- Compile and present production survey reports to management
- Perform daily measurements and reporting as per contract and managerial instructions
- Negotiate with client to agree on final monthly survey report for certificate purposes
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- National Diploma in Mine Surveying or related field.
- Legal Knowledge – Mine Surveyors GCC
- Management Development Programme (MDP)
- 7 years` experience in surveying, in the mining industry.
- Registered as a member with IMMSSA and/or SAGC
