Job Summary

Role Summary: The Divisional Executive’s main objective is to ensure that the Divisional Units achieve delivery against the mandate of the organization, demonstrating effective impact into the economy by using sustainable and viable investment principles set against annual broad based key performance targets and budget. This must be achieved by implementing effective and sound investment processes, policies and procedures and strategically leading, directing and motivating a team of Fund Managers, Regional Managers and investment professionals. Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies for the Funds. Lead and motivate a team of fund managers and investment professionals. Ensure adherence to investment criteria and governance frameworks. Identify and prioritize new projects, ensuring a diverse project mix. Oversee the financial closure of projects and raise external funding. Manage the investment process, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Drive business development and cultivate relationships within the BEE financing, private equity, and development finance sectors. Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures. Continuously improve investment processes and manage risks.

Requirements:

BCom / Honours / Masters / CA(SA). Minimum of 10 years’ experience in private equity, SME funding, venture capital, or development finance. Strong technical and industry knowledge of fund management and BEE financing. Experience in corporate finance, including valuation techniques and project finance. Proven ability to manage people and large professional teams. Excellent communication, organizational, and strategic skills. Previous experience in managing a financing business unit is preferred. Effective project management and planning abilities. Focus on customer needs and continuous staff development.
