Minimum

Requirements:

BSc Quantity Surveying
2 – 3 years` relevant industry experience in a building construction environment
Computer literate: MS Office and Quantity Surveying software
Valid driver`s license and own reliable transport
Fluent in Afrikaans and English

Professional registration:

SACQSP

Skills required:

Communication and negotiation abilities
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Duties and

Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects based on architectural drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents
Measurement of Building Quantities: Accurately measure building quantities for bill preparation and final accounts
Drafting Bills of Quantities: Prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities to detail materials, labor, and other project costs
Site Visits and Measurements: Conduct regular site visits and measurements to ensure accuracy in project assessments and valuations
Preparing Valuations: Compile valuations for the issue of interim payment certificates, assessing completed work for payment certification
Assisting with Cost Management: Support in the cost management of construction projects, monitoring expenses and ensuring adherence to financial constraints
Final Accounts: Prepare and conclude final accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements

Remuneration:

Candidate QS R23 000.00 R25 000.00 + Airtime + Travel compensation
