Job Summary
Guest Relations: Welcome guests warmly and ensure their needs are met throughout their stay. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally. Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction and respond to feedback to enhance guest experiences. Operations Management: Supervise and coordinate daily operations of housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance staff. Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards are upheld throughout the guesthouse. Monitor and manage guesthouse inventory, including supplies and amenities. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise staff members, fostering a positive work environment. Schedule staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage and efficiency. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities. Financial Management: Monitor and manage guesthouse budgets, expenses, and revenue streams. Implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards. Prepare financial reports and forecasts for management review. Marketing and Sales: Assist in developing marketing strategies to promote the guesthouse and attract new guests. Collaborate with online travel agencies, tour operators, and local businesses to increase occupancy rates and revenue. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations. Implement and enforce guesthouse policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Guesthouse Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong leadership and organizational abilities. Knowledge of hospitality management software (e.g., property management systems). Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Hospitality or business-related degree or certification preferred.
