Job Summary

Our client is looking for a Plant Maintenance Technician to join their company Minimum Required Qualification Trade Test certificate: Millwright At least 18 months Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering qualification or PLC; SCADA & Batch Management Software’s certification training program SAP-EAM and Project Management training certificates 5 years’ experience as a Millwright/Technician maintenance or project environment (preferably in the manufacturing Chemical Industry Preferred Qualification Tertiary qualification in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering Wireman’s license Experience using SAP-EAM (advantageous) Projects Environment experience (advantageous Required Skills and Competencies Computer literacy with working knowledge on Microsoft packages and SAP is essential Good verbal communication skills and basic report writing skills are essential Strong organizational skills and efficient time management skills are essential A sense of urgency (does things quickly and methodically), self-driven and resilient, work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgement In-depth knowledge instrumentation and able to do calibrations and verifications In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance Ability to interpret PLC software and fault find in PLC software Ability to interpret SCADA and Batch Management software and use as a fault-finding tool Ability to diagnose, determine cause and effect, and repair equipment malfunctions An analytical approach to problem solving and ability to pay high attention to details as well as handle complexity (multiple challenges simultaneously) Shows an open attitude towards change and willing to adapt to changing priorities, process conditions and circumstances Ability to read and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals and specifications Should we not contact you within 2 weeks please know that your application has been unsuccessful.
