Job Summary
Description
Hire Resolve`s client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mine Manager to join their mining company in the Northern Cape. The Mine Manager will be responsible for overseeing all mining operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing production efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the life of mine plan
- Drive continuous improvement through operational excellence
- Develop, implement, and monitor production strategies, activities, plans, reports, and schedules
- Provide guidance for managing mining/plant scope
- Perform pit inspections and enhance ore body knowledge and resources
- Ensure transparent communication of progress against the plan
- Create and enforce policies and procedures to uphold mining and safety standards
- Maintain compliance with MHSA and other regulatory requirements
- Establish a strong network and manage stakeholder relations effectively
- Collaborate closely with team members to achieve production targets
- Maintain discipline and manage costs efficiently
- Enhance efficiencies while prioritizing high safety standards
Requirements:
- National Diploma/Bachelor`s degree in Mining Engineering.
- Mine Manager`s Certificate of Competency.
- 10 years` experience in mining operations.
- 5 years` experience holding a 3.1 legal appointment.
- Strong knowledge of mining regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
