Job Summary

Hire Resolve is currently working with an award-winning architectural firm, to find a talented Architect to join their team in Pretoria.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of various projects, ensuring that they are innovative, functional, and meet client requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Expertise in managing large-scale mixed-use and commercial projects
  • Representation of the practice at project briefing meetings
  • Creation of accurate client brief illustrations using Revit
  • Support in graphic design for presentation materials
  • Assistance with 3D visualization of project proposals
  • Preparation and coordination of council submission documentation (SDP and Building Plans)
  • Production of coordinated working drawings across disciplines
  • Attendance at site meetings to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring project timelines are met
  • Independent site inspections and construction monitoring
  • Full engagement in multiple large-scale mixed-use and commercial projects from inception to completion
  • Application of effective methods and interpersonal skills to develop, motivate, and guide project teams

Requirements

  • Master in Architecture (M.Arch/B.Arch obtained prior to 1998)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience post-graduation
  • Registered with SACAP (South African Council for the Architectural Profession)
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit (certification preferred)
  • Completion of B+P Revit Assessment with a minimum score of 70%
  • Proficient in creating sketches using Revit and by hand
  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Master Suite for graphic design
  • Intermediate proficiency in 3D visualization software for presentations
  • Advanced understanding and experience with council documentation and submission processes
  • Advanced knowledge of technical detailing and construction documents
  • Advanced skills in site administration and project management
  • Strong record-keeping abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experienced in problem-solving and decision-making
  • Effective planning and organization of workflows and resources to meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage individuals within a team and monitor their activities
  • Skilled in building relationships within project teams and with clients
  • Demonstrates a positive example and loyalty to the company
