Job Summary

As corporate caterers, we strive to recruit the cream of the crop, thus Sankofa Management is looking for a Catering Manager who will be responsible for leading, supervising and monitoring a catering environment. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for all food related activities such as managing of daily operations of the kitchen area, implementation of the production process, managing food and expenses.Duties & ResponsibilitiesTake full responsibility and management of the unitNeed to be able to work under pressure in a demanding environmentSetting and management of service delivery standardsLead, motivate, train and develop a team of staffImplement and maintain operational controls in line within budgetary requirementsEnsure quality of food preparation, presentation and service is up to standard by meeting all quality star grading standards in all areas of responsibility as per grading checklistSkills and CompetenciesExcellent food skills requiredStrong judgement and problem-solving skillsExcellent people skillsStrong interpersonal and communicative skills (verbal and written)Flexibility with regards to working hoursAttention to detailClient service focusedBusiness management principlesFully computer literate2 years experience in kitchen managementQualificationsMatricPrevious managerial experience in the Industrial or Commercial sector is advantageousRelevant Degree/Diploma or CertificateLicense
