Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Draftsman (Piping) to join their team in Sasolburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in petrochemical piping drafting and be proficient in relevant software and design methodologies. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of working independently and within a team.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed piping designs and layouts using AutoCad and 3D Modeling software, with a preference for Cadworx.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure accurate and efficient design execution.
- Maintain and update project documentation and records.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and project specifications.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior draftsmen and other team members.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to project planning and progress discussions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues as they arise.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12 with Mathematics and Engineering Graphics and Design and/or a National Engineering Diploma or Apprenticeship.
- 5-8 years of applicable experience in petrochemical piping drafting.
- Proficiency in AutoCad and 3D Modeling, preferably with experience in Cadworx.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Valid drivers license (Code B/EB) with own transport.
