Job Summary

Are you an experienced IT professional with a passion for infrastructure management? An international company, currently expanding rapidly, is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Team Lead to join their dynamic team. This permanent position is based in Durban, offering a hybrid work model that combines the best of remote and in-office work.

Key

• Lead and manage a high-performing infrastructure team to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the company`s IT infrastructure.
• Oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, storage, and networking hardware.
• Ensure the availability, performance, and security of on-premises and cloud-based systems, primarily using Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, Red Hat, VMware, and Windows Server.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their needs and provide tailored infrastructure solutions.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the highest level of system and data security.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends, advising on strategic enhancements and improvements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure, with a focus on Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, Red Hat, VMware, Storage, and Windows Server.
• Proven experience in leading and developing technical teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
• Relevant certifications in cloud platforms, virtualization technologies, or other related fields are highly desirable.
