Job Summary

Experience: 3 to 5 years experience as a supervisor in the mining industry. Skills & Knowledge: Knowledge of open cast mines and gold mining will be an added advantage. Must be able to manage teams successfully Qualifications: Competency B certification is a must. Blasting will be an added advantage (we must have at least 1 or 2 supervisors with blasting certification) J ob Description Supervise the overall day to day, performance, co-ordination, management and maintenance of the designated mine/project to assist in obtaining maximum productivity, efficiency, quality, service and profitability for the organisation upholding all aspects of compliance and standards and adhering to budget and other applicable criteria supervise to ensure that the team are focused and deliver key priorities to include, but not limited to, high quality provision, high standards of health and safety, good communication maintain excellent operations and standards supervise the storage, maintenance and use of plant and equipment on a theft/misuse preventative basis adhere to budget constraints and targets responsibility to assist your Line Manager assist in developing plans for progress and growth, meet your targets and those of the team as a whole contribute to the overall development and maintenance of all projects smooth running of the team contribute to training and development of the team supervise the performance of all duties in compliance with health and safety and all related legal/statutory regulations, professional duties, responsibilities, and obligations and insert as applicable
