Job Summary
Village N Life is a leading Tourism and Hospitality company that is based in the beautiful Camps Bay.
The Bay Hotel, a luxury hotel based in Camps Bay on the beachfront seeks a Night Manager to join their Front Office Team.
The position is to assist guests with their overnight requests and balance accounts from the day shift. Responsible to check in guests and manage any requests they might have. Ensure excellent services is rendered and that the guests have a good experience while staying at the property.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- 5 years previous experience in the same / similar position
- Familiar with all the duties and procedures of the hotel environment
- Opera
- Opera Cloud advantageous
Duties and responsibilities
- Working the night shift at the Front Desk
- Assist guests with check in process, assign rooms, issuing room keys and managing requests
- Verify and prepare for next day guest arrivals and departures
- Monitor hotel security cameras
- Resolve Guest Complaints
- Ensuring all End Of day tasks are completed
- Auditing and account reconciliation from day shift
- Verify all revenue expenses from day shift
- Post room charges
- Investigate and resolve issues found on accounts
- Preparing reports for the day shift and for various departments
- Ensuring accuracy of room rates
- Answering all incoming calls
- Confirmation of guest information and payment methods
- Ensure a high level of guest services and relations to ensure they have a positive experience
- Upselling of other products and service partners
