Manganese Metal Company , based in Nelspruit, is the worlds only non-China-based producer of high-grade electrolytic manganese metal (EMM) and the worlds largest producer of 99.9% (selenium-free) EMM. MMC supplies more than 120 customers in over 20 countries and holds warehouse stock in various countries. MMCs products are used in the top-end of the market, in the following industries: Aluminium, steel, non-ferrous alloys, rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, chemicals, electronics, and welding consumables. The job incumbent will be responsible for effectively sourcing the correct commodities and services by ensuring quality, safety and commercial optimization. In this position, the job incumbent will be part of the Procurement team that will be responsible for sourcing goods and services required for the operations of MMC at the best commercial terms. MMCs Procurement team offers a very dynamic working environment, where the person will be part of the daily excitement of delivering the worlds highest quality EMM to customers all over the world, directly from Mbombela (Nelspruit). National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or related field. 3 years experience in industrial supply chain environment. Computer Literacy Office based Source suitable suppliers for products; imported raw materials and services. Procurement for specific major capital projects. Evaluate suitable alternative suppliers and source alternative products in line with specification and company requirements. Continually obtain competitive value for contracts Order placement and management, Adhere to administrative procedures for placing and finalizing of orders. Stakeholder relationship management. Ensure procurement cost effectiveness. Ensure supplier HSEQ
