Job Summary
Main job function The candidate will be responsible for execution of projects relating to the installation and commissioning of specialised weather stations and follow-up maintenance visits. The candidate will work with solar and other meteorological instruments, data logging equipment, software and communication systems. Many of the sites are in remote locations as well as other African countries. These activities include but are not limited to: Project management, Liasing with clients, Remote technical support to both clients and team, Design and develop customised weather stations, Monitoring, processing and reporting on data received from stations, Overseeing of the following activities: Building, assembly and testing of weather stations (office based) prior to it being installed. Logistics, installation and commissioning of remote weather stations in the field or at utility scale solar plants. Scheduled and unscheduled site visits to perform troubleshooting and maintenance. Qualifications BTech Degree in Electronic, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent qualification. National Diploma candidates with in-depth experience will be considered A Consultant will be in touch if you are shortlisted for the position.
