Job Summary
A reputable Dental Practice in Upington, Northern Cape, requires an ambitious Junior Debtors Clerk to perform a variety of accounts receivable tasks. The ideal candidate should be eager and willing to learn with a passion for furthering their accounting knowledge. The debtor`s function includes the administration of all Debtor`s accounts, ensuring adherence to the credit application process, minimising bad debts, and managing risk while maintaining positive customer interactions. Having Medical/Dental Debtor experience would be a great benefit.
Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 or relevant equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
- Own transport
- Ability to read and understand Age Analysis and Debtors Reports
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience with Pastel Partner & Evolution is an advantage
- Willingness to assist as needed
- Proficiency in computer skills, especially Word, Excel, and emailing
- Admin and invoicing experience
Responsibilities:
- Perform financial and business administration duties
- Conduct full reconciliation of debtors
- Monitor overdue debtors and invoices, and follow up accordingly
- Maintain client relationships
- Regularly review customer accounts to maintain an appropriate level of credit risk
- Open debtor accounts for completed application forms
- Create and send debtor invoices and statements to customers according to agreed deadlines
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assist with accounts receivable control processes
- Enter key financial transaction data into the database daily
Salary:
Monthly salary, negotiable according to experience
Working hours: 08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday & 1 Saturday a month, 08:00 – 13:00
Starting date: July 2024
