Job Summary

Responsibilities:
Supervise on-site fiber optic operations, including installation and maintenance Perform fiber optic splicing, cable installation, and fault repairs Rehabilitate and maintain fiber optic infrastructure Conduct route surveillance and physical audits to ensure security and functionality Use OTDR for regular fiber core health assessments Schedule and carry out preventive maintenance and improvements Support network issue resolution and provide remote support to the second-line team Oversee surveys for new connections and ensure timely link restoration Maintain detailed system records and ensure clear site labeling
Minimum
Requirements:
Senior Certificate (essential) 10 years experience in a similar role Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities Valid Drivers License and own transport Willingness to travel as needed Fiber Optic Specialist (FOA) certification Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective relationship-building
