Job Summary
Requirements:
- Have a strong mechanical aptitude
- Exposure in Automated Assembly Machines, minimum of 3 years
- Experience in Assembly Machines would be advantageous
- Electro pneumatic competency
- Sensor control circuit competency
- To be able to work with hand tools
- Basic understanding of how mechanical systems work
- Injection Machine maintenance background would be advantageous
- Be in possession of a Matric would be advantageous
- Junior Fitter certificate Red Seal
- Technical background would be advantageous
- Have a proven track record in terms of punctuality and attendance
- Be able to work effectively without supervision, ability to think on your feet
- Be reliable, honest and self-motivated
- Be a team player
- Embracing the company`s Values and Culture
- Be enthusiastic, committed and willing to learn
Responsibilities:
- Responsible Ensure adherence to health and safety, environment, quality and housekeeping in the plant
- Operate and set all automation equipment to achieve target efficiency of 80%
- Report all defects and noncompliance on all equipment
- Optimizing automation machinery to run reliably and efficiently
- Attend to breakdowns, minor repairs and set up of all automation equipment (sizes changes & die changes)
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as required operationally and as per request by the manager
- Develop and maintain positive work relationships within the team
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and assist in the development of job procedures as required
- Required to work outside normal working hours, during emergencies and planned overtime as reasonability requested to support operations
