Job Summary
10 years Fintech exposure in a commercial role Strong managerial skills with experience in the commercialisation of a company Knowledge of the African market MBA or similar would be advantageous Strategic planning Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with the overall business objectives. Collaborate with the executive team to align commercial goals with the organisational vision and mission. Market analysis Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs and competitive landscapes. Utilise data-driven insights to make informative commercial decisions and create positioning in the market. Revenue generation Drive revenue growth through developing new business opportunities and creating strategic partnerships. Optimise existing revenue streams and explore innovative avenues for monetisation. Customer acquisition and retention Lead initiatives to acquire new customers and enhance customer retention through effective commercial strategies. Work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to align efforts towards revenue generation. Product and service development Collaborate with the Product Development teams to ensure that offerings meet market demands and contribute to revenue goals. Identify opportunities for product enhancement or new offerings to drive commercial success. Risk management Develop and implement risk management strategies to ensure the commercial sustainability of the business. Keep abreast of regulatory changes and compliance requirements affecting commercial operations. Cross-functional leadership Foster collaboration and communication across departments, ensuring a unified approach to achieving commercial objectives. Provide leadership and mentorship to commercial teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
