Job Summary

Job Description: Take charge of designing, developing, and validating intricate simulation models for automotive production lines Assign tasks to engineering team members Mentor and guide engineers, offering technical leadership and expertise Supervise the collection and analysis of production data to refine simulation parameters Identify crucial bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for enhancement in production lines, devising strategic solutions Analyze simulation outcomes to derive insightful recommendations for process improvements Collaborate with senior management, production, and engineering teams to align with overarching objectives Deliver comprehensive simulation findings and strategic proposals to senior stakeholders and leadership Lead continuous improvement efforts to elevate simulation accuracy, efficacy, and overall production efficiency Facilitate the seamless integration and implementation of engineering designs and data into production Skills & Experience: 10-15 years of post-graduate experience in developing and implementing simulation models for manufacturing processes, with a preference in the automotive industry Advanced proficiency in simulation software such as Simio (experience with tools like Arena, FlexSim, or AnyLogic is advantageous) Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, production line dynamics, and lean manufacturing principles Proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, and optimization techniques Proven leadership in managing simulation projects and teams Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects concurrently Willingness to travel internationally for varying durations as needed Expertise in manufacturing processes and production line dynamics Advanced skills in data analysis and statistical methods Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and simulation software at an advanced level Exceptional focus on detail and precision Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Demonstrated leadership and team management proficiency Excellent communication and presentation abilities, adept at conveying complex technical information to stakeholders Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively Qualification: Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field of study Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
